Let's Start Our Journey Together!
Therapy for Women in Florida
You don’t have to carry it all alone.
You’ve been holding so much in. The expectations, the pressure to perform, the constant second-guessing. On the outside, you look “put together,” and other people lean on you for a lot. But inside you’re exhausted, wondering if you’ll ever feel like enough.
Maybe you…
Pretend everything is fine, but inside you’re replaying conversations and wondering if you said the “wrong” thing.
Feel guilty for wanting rest or boundaries, because you’ve always been praised for being strong and dependable.
Feel pressure to hold it together for everyone else, while no one asks how you are really doing.
Worry that if you slow down, everything might fall apart.
Question your worth because of what you’ve been through, even though part of you knows you deserve more.
Feel torn between your faith, your culture, and your need for healing.
Carry unspoken hurts from racism, family dynamics, or religious spaces that told you to just “pray it away.”
Worry that no therapist will truly understand what it’s like to be a woman of color navigating life in Florida.
If any of this sounds like you, you’re not broken, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
Online Therapy for Women Across Florida
At Mindful Blooms Counseling, I specialize in providing therapy for women in Florida, with a focus on supporting women of color, Christian women, and women healing from racial or religious trauma.
Whether you’re in Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, or anywhere in the state, you can access therapy from the comfort of home through secure online sessions. No commute, time you have to take away from other responsibilities, just a more manageable way to get to a safe space designed for you.
Here, you don’t have to explain why your background, your faith, or your lived experiences matter. I see you fully, and can honestly relate to a lot of it. Therapy here gets to be a place where all parts of your identity are honored.
What We Can Work on Together
Through therapy, you’ll have space to heal, grow, and reclaim your sense of self. Together, we might focus on:
Individual Therapy: Supporting women with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. (50 Minutes)
Trauma-Focused Therapy: Specializing in racial and religious trauma recovery. (50 Minutes)
Christian Counseling: Integrating Christian principles for those seeking a spiritual component in their healing journey. Faith-based therapy is only provided upon request. (50 Minutes)
Group Therapy: Educational and supportive group settings. (Varies)
My Approach
Your identity and experiences shape who you are, and they deserve to be honored in your healing journey. My approach is rooted in:
Culturally responsive therapy — you won’t have to educate me on why race, culture, or faith matter.
Faith-embracing counseling (optional) — we can include Christian principles if you want, but they’re never imposed.
Evidence-based care — I use trauma-informed, proven techniques to help you feel real change.
Compassionate and practical — I’ll listen deeply, but I’ll also give you tools you can use right away.
Why Choose Mindful Blooms Counseling?
I know that opening up about your struggles can feel intimidating. Here are some things you might want to keep in mind when considering whether we should work together:
I’m Licensed
I am a fully licensed therapist, which means I’ve been through multiple years of rigorous training and I can practice completely independently. This also allows me to diagnose, treat, and support clients with a wide range of mental health concerns. This license also requires me to do regular Continuing Education Courses so I can stay up to date on the changes in my field.
I’m Christian
I know there’s still a lot to be done when it comes to understanding the importance of mental health in Christian spaces. Sometimes *well-intentioned* people may say things like “Just pray and then you’ll feel better” or “All you need to do is give it to god”. This can be really dismissive of the very real and often clinical struggles that you’re experiencing. By seeing a Christian counselor, you get to work with someone who understands and respects your beliefs while also giving you effective ways to find healing. Please keep in mind that faith-based counseling is only incorporated upon request.
I’m a Millennial/Gen Z Cusper
Sometimes you just need someone who gets it! Were you obsessed with BuzzFeed Quizzes, Pinterest, Jenna Marbles, and Harry Potter? Me too! Do you also experience the crippling anxiety of whether you’ll ever be able to afford a house or if it’s worth it to get a little sweet treat? Same. Same.
Do you also struggle with the need to stay informed about what’s going on in the world, but also sometimes feel like you can't really do much to change anything? I can definitely relate.
All of the things I’ve mentioned heavily impact our mental health. I see you. You won’t have to spend time explaining why these things matter to you because I feel it too.
I’m Black
Did you know that only 4.1% of therapists overall are Black or African American? I’m both Black and African American (there is a difference, I know)! My father is from Nigeria, and my mother is a Southern Black Woman. The magnitudes of these backgrounds are something that not everyone understands unless they’ve lived it.
One of the worst feelings is when someone makes you feel like you’re exaggerating, overly emotional, or just too angry. Not here. Here, you can just exist. You can take the mask off. Take off your superhero cape, and just feel. As a black mental health therapist, I can reinforce the idea that mental health care really is for everyone and give you the healing you deserve.
Take the Next Step Toward Healing
You don’t need to have the perfect words or know exactly what you want from therapy. Our first step is simple: a free 15-minute consultation where you can share what’s on your heart and see if we’re a good fit!
Mindful Blooms Counseling offers online therapy for women across Florida, including Orlando, Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
Here for you.
You deserve a space where your story, your culture, and your faith are fully honored.
